I changed my 27 halogen landscape lights over to LED for $372 and went from using 423 watts to 66 watts. The light looks cleaner, whiter, and I like the light much better. The end result is a savings of 3.57 kw per night x 30 = 107 kw per month at .15 per kw = $16.06 off my electric bill monthly. So considering the replacement time of halogen bulbs compared to LED bulbs, I will break even in 14 months. Going forward you will save money. Eventually you will need to replace a bulb, may be as long as 5 years from now. All and all it is well worth the change, especially when you consider the green effects of the electrical savings.
